Bootsale 2nd August

Today was one of the best days for booting. We went to our usual saturday bootsale with less than half the money we normally take (as pickings are usually crap we didn't really worry that we'd run out). However, we nearly did run out!! OMG.

Anyway, what did we find? Here goes!!!

First off, I spotted a Multi System. It cost me £5 and was marked up at £10. What it is is a PC Joystick that is based on a console that joystick maker Konix was going to release back in the early 90s. The KMS (Konix Multi System) never arrived, but the joystick technology did in the form of this hybrid. With a couple of twists and a click its a steering wheel. Another couple of clicks its a set of handlebars. Twist things another way its a flight yoke! FAB!

Then walking on a bit further I spotted a box with a boxed Goldeneye N64 and accessories. The woman said she wanted £5 as it didn't have a TV lead. HELL!! £5? I was having that TV lead or not. As it turns out it had a SCART lead in the box. Result! came with 3 extra games and 2 extra joysticks. Box is in good condiditon too.

Walking on a bit further I spotted a Barcode Battler. Paid £1 for a boxed complete "German" version. This was imported from Germany by a company and they included English instructions and barcode stickers. Yet another wacky Japanese idea that failed to make any sort of impression in the UK. I like to think that if this said Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh on it, this would sell a million. Also picked up an uboxed copy of Metal Head for the 32x for 50p (next purchase, a 32x LOL). As we left the stall, we spotted the guy was also selling some other "retro bits" - He had a couple of boxed TV games from the late 70s... He wanted £1 for a boxed Ingersoll multic-coloursport TV game. YUP! I'll have that.. He also had a Radofin TV game with extra game for £2. Yes please, thank you!

Having bought all that, our arms were getting fuller. Then we spotted a guy flogging Mega Drive games for £1 each. The usual tat, but we got Jungle Strike. NICE!

Finally, the last row of cars.. usual kids clothes and pottery. My girlfriend called me over... She'd spotted a SNES!!. I'd been after a UK one for sometime and I could have easily got one from eBay but there something about finding one at a booty. Anyway, it was in a crappy condition and looked like it'd been in the garden. No wonder I didn't spot it.. Kudos to my girlfriend though. Anyways, the woman wanted rid of it and offered it to us for £1.. FECKING BARGAIN. As it turns out, it didn't work. But a quick swap of the PSU soon sorted that.

And then we went home for a nice cup of tea :) and a rest...
