Boot Sales Sat 29th and Sun 30th

Hi all, below are the finds I have found at my local boot sales this weekend. I haven't posted lately, as I have had a really bad few weeks, but am over them now. I will get pics up tomorrow:

Saturday

Sega Saturn with 2 pads, all leads, 14 games - £8
Sky Skipper and Ms Pac-man on the Atari 2600 - 80p for both of them

Sunday

Spectrum +2A with light gun, joystick and leads with 12 games mint - £2.50
Mario All Stars + Simpsons Krusty on the SNES - £1 for the both
Tomy Caveman table top game is good, working condition - £1
Mega Drive Lemmings boxed complete - 50p

The spectrum I had to clean up as there was dirt stopping the datacorder working and dirt causing a sticky key effect on the system, but otherwise it is mint and works fine.

Saturday 29th July

First off, apologies for the lack of updates - its not like i've not been bargain hunting. In truth, I picked up so much stuff recently and I've been in and out, I've not had time to update the blog.. Anyway, today...

Not a great day today, but some bargains nontheless..

I got:

£1 for a plug-in TV space invaders game (which also has some other games like Phoenix and Qix on it)
£1 for yet another crappy NES-clone TV game with 21 crappo games on it
£2 for 200 HD floppies with PC stuff on them.
£1 for a PlayStation Barbie game (box no manual)
£1 for one of those Interactor backpack things - looks complete and is boxed.

Looking forward to tomorrow's biggie. Right off to the charity shops round my way

Last Sunday's bootsale

What a terrible day Sunday was. We were really looking forward to this week's as there were supposed to be two big bootsales very close to each other. We woke at 6am to a cloudy sky and by 6:30 it had started raining. Not letting a bit of rain put us off, my girlfriend and I did our usual walk to the bootsale. IT WASN'T THERE!!! Noooooooo. Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was that a larger bootsale close by was starting at 11. We went home, went to bed and then headed off to the "big" bootsale for 11. How dissapointed was I? VERY. It was a piss poor turnout with about 20-30 cars in total. Found nothing on the first run. Went for a coffee and came back.

I thought my luck was changing as some woman had a purple GameCube with three controllers and two memory cards. She said she wanted a fiver for it as she'd sold all the games for a fiver each. She assured me it worked and so I parted with £5 (bargain I thought). Got it home - the bloody thing wouldn't read any discs. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! What a disaster. Here's hoping this Sunday is better.

Thursday's Charity Shop visit - 7th July

OMFG!! Today was a GOOD day. Made a single purchase for £4 and this got me a single item.. A Game & Watch from 1983. The game? Rain Shower (its a nice dual-screen game). Checked eBay when I got back to the office; price ranges up to £400!

It wasn't boxed and it has been played. I'll upload an image tonight.. But hell am I chuffed or what.
