Sunday 25th June Boot Sale

I went to my Local Boot Sale which starts at around 8 am in a farmers field and it is quite a big boot sale with around 200 - 250 cars in 2 fields. Not much there this time, but did find the following bargains for £8 total:

Today's charity shop trawl

NES being suffocated in a plastic bag
Originally uploaded by blackadderhall.

Today’s trawl through the charity shops was a bit of a disappointment.
SCOPE had a single copy of Chase H.Q for the Master System (price unknown)
Oxfam had half a dozen PS1 games for £2.99 each (just the usual driving/footy games)
Cancer Research had bugger all
Banardo’s had the best retro item; an unboxed NES with 2 controllers, light gun, and 3 games (Super Mario Bros, Duck Hunt and New Zealand Story). This was being suffocated in a plastic bag at the bottom of a shelf. They wanted £15 for it. I preferred a cheese and pickle sarnie from Benjy’s so I didn’t buy it.

Oh well, the weekend is nearly upon us and it can mean only 1 thing… BOOTSALES!!

May Barginius the Goddess of Bootsales smile on you.

First post - SNES bargains

Hi,
I thought I'd kick off this blog with some SNES bargains I purchased this very lunchtime. While on my lunchbreak I like to have a quick browse around the local charity shops as they often have the odd game or two. Recently I picked up Splatterhouse 2 for the Mega Drive for £1 at one shop.

Today was a good day as the local Cancer Research had a stack of SNES games all individually priced between 50p and £2. The manageress offered the lot to me for £12 - WOW!! I thought. Unfortunately, I'd just spent all my spare cash on lunch so a trip to the bank was needed. I rushed back hoping they were still there, and they were. So I got the following items for £12.

Boxed with Instructions
Super Mario Kart
Street Racer
Star Wing
Stunt Race FX
WWF Royal Rumble

Unboxed:
Super Mario World
Street Fighter II (US)
Super StarWars (US)

US/UK SNES Adapter

I've uploaded more pics of them here. I apologise for the quality of the pics, they were taken with my camera phone.
